Ph.D. Position at University of Utah(Fall 2019)
The research group of Prof. Yu Xiang at University of Utah in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has multiple positions for highly-motivated Ph.D. students supported by full research scholarship from Prof. Yu Xiang. The research areas include statistical signal processing, machine learning, information theory, and their applications to neuroscience and computational biology. More details of Prof. Xiang’s research can be found in the attachment. The candidate must have B.E./B.Sc. or M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Brief bio of Prof. Yu Xiang:
He is currently an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, at University of Utah. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University for three years, hosted by Prof. Vahid Tarokh. Prior to that, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, San Diego in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Young-Han Kim. He received his B.Sc. with highest distinction from the School of Telecommunication Engineering at Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 2008.
